Job Description

To support this mission, Syngenta’s Legal Team is seeking a Legal Counsel CU Andinos in Bogota, Colombia. 

Accountabilities 

  • Act as Legal Business Partner for Syngenta´s business in Andeans Commercial Unit (Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador).
  • Prepare, review and negotiate agreements in several areas, including distribution, supply, services and sales agreements.
  • Deliver pragmatic legal solutions for both strategic initiatives and routine operational matters.
  • Provide specialized guidance on competition law compliance and commercial practices, including the structuring of customer loyalty programs and promotional activities.
  • Monitoring and analyzing critical new legislation and regulations that may impact the business or its reputation.
  • Working with other members of the Legal team in Andeans and in LATAM to develop and optimize systems and processes for effectiveness aiming efficiency and collaboration. Specially, spearhead the adoption and expansion of digital tools and legal technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency (e.g. Onit, AI Tools), streamline workflows, and modernize legal service delivery. Promote a culture of digital transformation in legal practice.
  • Drive action and unlock problems, without creating disruption and while defending recommendations throughout the company.
  • Oversee the Legal department's administrative operations, including management of external counsel relationships, processing of legal invoices, and coordination with legal service providers.
  • Integrate into a dynamic legal team structure with clearly defined responsibilities while maintaining flexibility to provide cross-functional support and backup coverage, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

Required  

  • Lawyer Degree. Master´s Degree is a plus.
  • Up to 3 years of experience as a legal corporate advisor.
  • Advanced English.
