A Distribution Center (DC) Inventory Supervisor assists the Distribution Center (DC) Inventory Manager in providing enterprise-wide oversight to the accurate inventory control of our brands. This role is responsible for fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork to maximize the efficiency of all team members and distribution center operations. 

Here's more of what you will do... (Okay, not all in one day!)

Assists the DC Manager and DC Inventory Manager in supervising the DC team members; fills their roles in their absence.

  • Maintains the security and condition of all beer and other merchandise in inventory.
  • Oversees product handling to ensure they are handled properly to minimize damage and preserve quality.
  • Verifies by physical count of merchandise stored in the distribution center; ensures proper rotation of product in the distribution center, keg vault and trucks.
  • Ensures team member compliance with all company policy and safety programs.

Assists with inventory management activities in the distribution center.

  • Assists with the distribution center space utilization; assists with product setup and slotting.
  • Assists with product recalls, counts, and verifications; ensures proper tagging and storage of recalled product.
  • Assists with counts, monitoring, communication and movement of all close-dated products and promptly removes all close-dated products from inventory as required by company policy.
  • Assists with the handling, rework, documentation, storage and disposal of damaged and out-of-date product.
  • Ensures all damaged and out of date product is properly separated, categorized, and properly documented.

Assists with training and development of DC team members. 

  • Ensures team member safe use of all warehouse equipment.
  • Ensures team member safety and compliance training is completely in a timely manner and training records are maintained.
  • Provides timely coaching and feedback to DC team members.

Maintains related equipment and ensures distribution center is clean and organized at all times.

  • Promotes a safety oriented culture and corrects unsafe situations in a timely fashion.

* Percent of effort is dependent work schedule/shift and DC workload.

This role requires rotational shift work and will be required to work days, nights and/or weekends.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    A qualified candidate for the Merchandiser OFP role should satisfy the expectations below:

    Here's what you must have to be considered for this role:

    • High School Graduate or Equivalent Certification
    • One to Two Years Inventory Management, Distribution and/or Market Experience
    • Forklift and Equipment Experience and Certification
    • General Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
    • Strong Communication Skills

    Here's what we hope you will have:

    • One to Three Years Supervisory Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics or other Related Field
    • Class A CDL License
    • Ability to Influence Others

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to pull/push a load up to 70 lbs.
    • Requires heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products.
    • Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday. 
    • Requires ability to tolerate working in an environment with inside/outside ambient/extreme temperatures.
    • Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
    • Driving may be required during the workday.
    • Ability to operate facility equipment required for role.
    • Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email, preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software.
    • Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate varied machinery, equipment and vehicles.
    • Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various facility machinery and equipment.
    • Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
    • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
