Position Objective

We bring the message of Jesus in a way that transforms people and cities. The Graphics, Branding & Web Content Creator helps fulfil this mission by designing and managing the visual communication that connects people with the Gospel. Through their unique creative gifting, this person shapes the images, stories and digital environments that help people see and understand who Jesus is. They serve the church by creating clear, consistent and compelling visuals across all locations, and carry a heart to use creativity as a ministry that draws people toward Jesus.

Position-Specific Responsibilities

Branding: Develop branding and set art direction for all Hope Centre media in consultation with Hope Centre leadership and key stakeholders, and ensure this branding is upheld consistently across all locations and departments.

Content Creation: Develop content in a timely manner for all Hope Centre series, events, departments and advertising, working alongside other content creators to deliver cohesive design packages that align with Hope Centre branding and reflect the design brief. This role will specifically focus on:

  • Graphics: designing general graphics for use by other content creators in larger packages, appropriate for the intended media.
  • Printed Media: designing and delivering printed materials such as brochures, posters and cards.
  • Online Assets: developing and distributing assets for use by department leaders in their location specific social media posts and mailouts, and for centrally managed Hope Centre online platforms.

Content Management & Advertising: Ensure our online presence and physical locations present accurate and up‑to‑date information, enabling both our congregation and the public to find what they need quickly and easily. Specifically, this role will manage content areas aligned with the content creation focus, including the website, primary social media accounts, mailouts, posters, billboards and digital signage.

Core Professional Role Responsibilities

  • Empower ministry leaders to shepherd and support those within your ministry, with the primary aim to help every person develop and flourish in their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Acts 20:28).
  • Provide pastoral care to those belonging to the ministry you support when appropriate, liaising with your ministry leader when necessary.
  • Be responsible for any rostering, communication, and general care of any teams assigned to you, ensure they have everything they need to serve well.
  • Steward budgets and finances of the ministry you support within the guidelines and processes outlined by the Hope Centre Finance Team.
  • Steward physical resources (such as rooms, vehicles and other equipment) associated with the ministry you support
  • Participate in all location team meetings and events
  • Collaborate with other support team members to share and develop ideas and methods which help support Hope Centre ministries function more effectively and efficiently.

The person we're looking for

Has a deep love for Jesus and His people and has 2+ years' experience in a digital media setting. Experience in a ministry setting will be highly advantageous. We expect that this person has a high level of initiative and ability to take a proactive approach to work. This person must hold a QLD working with children “Blue Card” (or be eligible to apply for one).
