The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance leader to join our Head Office team in Southport as Group Financial Controller.
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll take ownership of the Group’s financial framework and ensure integrity across reporting, compliance, and systems. You’ll lead the finance team, refine processes, and build scalable structures that enable informed decision-making and support the Group’s long-term growth. Your work will influence how the business manages performance, risk, and strategic planning, making you a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Group’s financial control framework, general ledger, and reporting integrity
- Lead month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Contribute as a key member of the management team by providing clear financial insights to support informed decision-making
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, payroll, and contractor financial arrangements
- Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, and regulatory obligations
- Strengthen financial systems, controls, and reporting tools (including BI platforms)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
About You
You are a confident finance leader who combines technical expertise with commercial judgement. You’re comfortable in the detail but equally capable of stepping back to see the bigger picture.
- CPA or CA qualified
- Senior experience in financial control or group accounting roles
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability
- Proven leadership of month-end, statutory reporting, and budgeting processes
- Experience managing cash flow, balance sheets, and working capital
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance teams
- Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems and reporting tools
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Hold full Australian Work Rights
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-site environment which includes shared clinic ownership models (desirable).
- Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools (desirable)
