Purpose of Role: In this role, you will be responsible to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the required standard, procedures, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First

  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Oversee daily operations of service staff, including technicians or customer service personnel.

Service Delivery Management

  • Ensure services are delivered according to company standards, customer expectations, and contractual agreements.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients or customers regarding service issues or escalations.

  • Resolve complaints and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.

Operational Oversight & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, job completion, and resource usage.

  • Generate and analyze service reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, or improvement areas.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all service operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

  • Promote a safety-first culture within the team.

Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs to upskill staff.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Monitor usage and availability of tools, equipment, and parts required for service delivery.

  • Coordinate with inventory or procurement teams for timely replenishment.

  • Ensure accuracy Service WIP inventory

  • Ensure all measures are put in place to ensure the safeguarding of customer property and scrap.

 Process Improvement

  • Identify areas for service process optimization and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives·


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • N3 Qualified Fitter or Millwright trade qualification

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous

  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.

  • Related technical experience in pump building

  • Production/supervision certification.

  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office suite, CRM (e.g. FSM), ERP Software (e.g. SAP) is advantageous.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards.

  • Project management skills (advantageous).
