Finance Manager

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to work closely with our CFO and oversee the day to day operations of our finance function. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll drive accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement across all financial processes while guiding a capable, multi-skilled team.

You’ll play a key role in firmwide planning and financial strategy, ensuring our systems, reporting and compliance remain best-practice and future-focused. This position will be based across both our Dandenong and Melbourne offices, so a willingness to travel between locations is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing -

• Monthly and annual financial reporting, GL oversight and preparation of audit-ready statements.
• Trust accounting compliance, trust audits and management of breach registers and statutory lodgements.
• Payroll review and compliance checks, including sign-off on salary changes and terminations.
• Cashflow management, budgeting and covenant monitoring.
• Tax compliance across GST, FBT, PAYG, income tax and related statutory returns.
• Oversight of the fixed asset register, insurance renewals and liaison with external stakeholders.

About You

You’re an experienced finance leader who blends strategic insight with a practical, hands on approach. You communicate with clarity, foster strong relationships, and genuinely enjoy developing your team while building a high performing culture.

You will also bring:

• CA/CPA qualification. Post-graduate qualifications in business, finance or other related disciplines are highly regarded.
• 6+ years’ experience in a similar senior finance role.
• Experience in professional services, with exposure and knowledge of legal and trust accounting.
• Expertise across tax (GST, FBT, income tax), compliance and financial reporting.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• A people‑focused leadership style with a genuine commitment to coaching and growth.
