We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Analyst to join our team. If you have experience in data analysis, regulatory compliance, and interpreting complex information, you can make a significant contribution to our work.

About the role

As a Charities Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing applications, monitoring compliance, and providing insights that support regulatory decisions. You will analyse operational information from charities, identify risks, and prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations for decision-makers, including Managers and the Charities Registration Board.

You will thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly and will be comfortable working with complex legislation and sensitive matters. You will also have effective communication skills that will allow you to communicate clearly and in plain language to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse charity registration applications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, recommendations and decision papers.
  • Communicate technical decisions and adverse outcomes to non-technical audience.
  • Manage an ongoing caseload and complete work within a timely manner.
  • Interpret and apply charities legislation, as well as international charities case law.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a regulatory, analyst, policy, or advisory role within government or a similar environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legislation.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and apply it to real-world scenarios.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
