About this role
The OCI Database Management and Ops Insights team is seeking a pivotal technical leader to drive the architecture of a common platform that supports both services and positions Oracle for an agentic, AI-centric future in database manageability. In this role, you will identify and define core components shared across services, recognizing common requirements and building a developer-friendly platform that empowers service developers and AI coding agents to deliver features rapidly. Responsibilities include translating key business needs into creating, documenting, and implementing scalable, secure, high-level architectural blueprints. The ideal candidate will bridge business objectives with technical solutions, guide development teams, and establish coding standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable software.
- Architectural Design: Develop comprehensive, high-level blueprints and specifications for software systems, focusing on technical feasibility, performance, security, and scalability.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to engineering teams throughout the SDLC to ensure adherence to design principles.
- Technology Selection: Evaluate, recommend, and select tools, platforms, and programming languages to support product goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and users to translate business requirements into technical, actionable requirements.
- Problem Solving: Act as a technical expert to troubleshoot complex issues in software systems and identify improvements for existing infrastructure.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of software functionality, design decisions, and system components.
