Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our Vision Care Business Unit Finance (BUF) team in Australia. This role is critical in delivering financial planning excellence, fostering strong business partnerships, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and a collaborative mindset to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning
Deliver compliant financial planning and reporting to meet or exceed expectations on Net Trade Sales, Net Income, and Free Cash Flow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) during the IBP process to validate and challenge business assumptions, enhance forecast accuracy, and develop alternative solutions.
Lead official forecast cycles in partnership with commercial teams, including calendar management.
Ensure timely and accurate submissions of all Regional FP&A and other requests, supported by high-quality commentary.
Business Partnering
Act as a strategic bridge between Finance and the Business Unit, translating financial insights into actionable business strategies.
Manage Commercial OPEX (BME and SG&A) budgeting and tracking, ensuring optimal resource allocation aligned with strategic goals.
Support pricing activities including product pricing, promotional analysis, and NPI launch evaluations to maintain healthy margins and market competitiveness.
Conduct Key Account Reviews with the commercial team as needed.
Partner with Supply Chain and Demand Planning teams on LCM and portfolio simplification initiatives to reduce SLOB and DOS through improved forecast accuracy and inventory management.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and scenario planning to support business needs and competitive assessments.
Risk Management & Compliance
Own the Quarterly Key Control Checklist (KCC) and execute all relevant compliance activities, including SOP updates, process reviews, and threshold analysis.
Lead and advise the business on Finance compliance matters, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering roles.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain).
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge business stakeholders constructively.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong ownership mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance frameworks, and financial governance.
Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with planning tools (e.g., TM1, Anaplan, Power BI) is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent.
Experience in FMCG or other commercial environments.
Prior involvement in IBP/S&OP cycles and commercial pricing activities.
Experience supporting go‑to‑market teams and product portfolio management.
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into commercial strategies.
