Job Description:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

This role is positioned to drive the success of Solventum.  As IP paralegal at Solventum, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by doing some or all of the following:

  • Supporting anti-counterfeiting and enforcement activities, including evidence collection, authentication reports preparation, online takedowns, and coordination with external investigators or agencies
  • Conducting preliminary online investigations or marketplace reviews when necessary
  • Assisting evidence collection for trademark cancellation and invalidation
  • Conducting basic IP searches (e.g., trademark availability, patent status) and compile search results for attorney review
  • Handling inventor compensation calculations
  • Coordinating China departing employee NCA review
  • Gathering and summarizing information on IP laws, procedures, and regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions
  • Assisting drafting, reviewing, and organizing IP-related agreements and documents
  • Providing administrative support for IP trainings, presentations, and internal communications
  • Working closely with business teams, marketing, R&D and tax teams to support IP-related initiatives

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, major in law is preferred
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Good understanding of intellectual property law, Patent Law, Trademark Law, and related areas of practice
  • More than three years of relevant working experience or post-qualification experience
