As the EU Trade Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all e-commerce customs operations within the European Union. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with EU customs regulations, streamlining import/export processes, and maximizing efficiency in customs clearance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with all EU customs regulations and guidelines, staying abreast of changes and updates in customs laws.
- Customs Clearance Optimization: Coordinate and optimize e-commerce customs clearance processes to minimize delays and facilitate and the smooth movement of goods across borders.
- Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential customs-related risks, such as customs audits or penalties.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, finance, and legal teams, to ensure alignment and integration of customs operations with overall business objectives.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other external service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective customs operations.
- Customs Authorities relationship management: Build up and maintain a good and sustainable relationship with customs authorities
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within customs operations, driving efficiency and reducing costs.
