Senior AI Engineer at Ardoq (Oslo, Remote)

As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll be part of the team designing and building the scalable AI systems that power our platform. This is not just about writing clean code (though you’ll do plenty of that); it’s about creating the foundations that let us deliver reliable, intelligent and user-friendly AI solutions to some of the world’s biggest enterprises.
You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to solve complex problems, improve performance and build features that make enterprise architecture more accessible and actionable.

On a typical day, you will
Build, develop, and maintain Ardoq’s AI capability, including our AI agents
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Explore opportunities to use AI tools to streamline development workflows and improve system performance
Help evolve our architecture as we scale, ensuring we balance innovation with robustness
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring a seamless experience for customers
What We’re Looking For
Solid experience in software development with a focus on building scalable systems (backend or full stack)
Experience with LLMs
Strong skills in modern programming languages (experience with functional programming or Clojure is a plus, but not required)
Knowledge of API design, web services, and database management (SQL or similar)
Extensive experience in Python backend development with other programming language understanding
Experience with building and maintaining infrastructure (for example, Terraform, LiteLLM, Containers, API serving)
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment
A proactive, collaborative mindset and a drive to continuously learn and improve
Nice to haves:
Experience building agentic systems
Experience with monitoring and evaluation of agentic systems (for example DeepEval, Confident-AI, Langfuse, etc)
Experience with AWS
