Description
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Compliance Analyst to perform duties, under general supervision, related to nuclear regulatory compliance for the Radiation Protection Department.
The Compliance Analyst will work with the SHINE Radiation Protection Manager to interface with State of Wisconsin, Department of Health Services, as well as SHINE internal stakeholders to ensure regulated activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and commitments.
This position will work as part of a collaborative team of radiation protection personnel to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance across multiple SHINE facilities.
The base salary range for this position is $83,000 - $135,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Compliance Analyst:
- Prepares, reviews, and submits regulatory correspondence (e.g., radioactive materials license applications, amendment requests, responses to requests for additional information) to the State of Wisconsin, Department of Health Services.
- Work with the RP Manager and Facility Radiation Safety Officers to establish and implement radiation protection department policies, programs, and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory and administrative requirements.
- Interface with State of Wisconsin, Department of Health Services personnel in the planning and review of licensing actions.
- Perform audits of the implementation of facility radiation protection programs, procedures, and work practices.
- Perform activities related to corrective action management in Radiation Protection including the performance of interviews, condition evaluations, causal analyses, and corrective actions.
- Track and trend performance metrics related to Radiation Protection.
- Provide input and facilitate process and design improvements with a focus on radiological safety.
- Support administrative duties such as records retention and document control.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Health Physics, relevant engineering technology, or related physical science specialty or equivalent training and experience in nuclear disciplines
- Experience in regulatory affairs such as preparation and submittal of radioactive materials license applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and Agreement State regulations and regulatory guidance related to radioactive material licensing.
- Greater than two years of experience in a nuclear field.
- Greater than two years of experience in occupational radiation protection preferred
- Technical understanding of nuclear facility principles and operation.
- Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
