Ambu is currently looking for a (Senior) Solution Architect to join our Portfolio Strategy and Respiratory & ENT solutions team in Global R&D.
As a Solutions Architect within our Research and Development (R&D) team at Ambu, you will play a key role in designing and implementing innovative solutions that advance our single use endoscopy solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to drive the development of cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

This role requires exceptional architectural skills, a deep understanding of both business and technical aspects, and solid medical device experience.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.

Collaborate closely with product management to define product roadmaps and prioritize feature development based on customer needs and market opportunities.

Participate in and support early phase investigations and exploratory research initiatives aimed at identifying new opportunities and technologies for potential integration into future product offerings.

Collaborate with R&D subject matter experts and teams to conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and proof-of-concept demonstrations to assess the viability and potential impact of emerging technologies on medical device innovation.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to inform decision-making processes during the evaluation and selection of technologies for inclusion in future product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market needs.

Support early-stage new product development projects with solution architecture.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform solution architecture decisions and drive innovation within the organization.

Lead the architecture of complex solutions combining mechanical, electronics and software for our medical technology products and services, considering factors such as scalability, security, reliability, sustainability, and performance.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and alignment with organizational goals.

Mentor and coach team members on architectural principles, design patterns, and standards to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Continuously monitor and evaluate existing solutions to identify opportunities for optimization to improve scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.

Hold a master’s degree in engineering and have technical work experience.

Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in a medical technology or healthcare environment.

In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies and platforms for single use medical devices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion.

Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation, coupled with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Strong team player and collaborative skills in a cross functional and international setting
