About this role

The HR Generalist will play a key role in delivering end-to-end HR support across GAC North America. This position is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, payroll coordination, employee relations, training administration, and people reporting. The role works closely with leadership, HQ, and HR colleagues to ensure best-in-class HR services and a positive employee experience.

Requirements

1. Recruitment & Sourcing

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering with Hiring Managers, HR colleagues, and external recruiters as needed.

  • Process recruitment budget approvals.

  • Utilize best-practice recruitment and selection tools, including structured interviews and psychometric assessments.

  • Take a consultative and collaborative approach to recruitment decision-making.

  • Own and manage all hiring activity through the Recruitee platform.

2. Onboarding & Induction

  • Deliver a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for all new hires.

  • Manage document collection, PRO coordination (where applicable), and induction programs in collaboration with key stakeholders.

3. People Data, Leave Policy & Procedures

  • Ensure all employee data is accurate and up to date in the MyGAC platform.

  • Lead “Update Your Details” campaigns for employees.

  • Ensure leavers are processed correctly in MyGAC.

  • Act as the MyGAC designate for GAC North America.

  • Record and administer all leave types, including annual and maternity leave.

  • Lead the implementation of MyGAC annual leave recording and approval as a key regional project.

4. Payroll

  • Administer payroll from an HR perspective, partnering closely with Finance.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing with 100% accuracy each pay cycle.

5. Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Ensure completion of probationary reviews.

  • Manage exit interviews and offboarding processes in line with the GAC spirit and values.

6. Training & Development

  • Serve as the GAC Academy designate for GAC North America.

  • Coordinate training allocation, budgeting, and development planning in partnership with the Director of HR & Crewing.

7. Employee Services

  • Support employee relations matters by partnering with leadership and providing timely, professional HR guidance.

  • Manage medical insurance enrollment, changes, and annual renewals for employees.

8. People Planning, Data & Reporting

  • Prepare manpower plans, budgets, presentations, and HR reports.

  • Provide people data, performance, engagement, and resourcing updates in collaboration with HR leadership.



Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to overall team effectiveness by participating in all HR office activities.

Collaborate openly with colleagues, sharing workload across tasks and projects.

Proactively propose and support new HR best practices, initiatives, and compliance with employment laws.

Communicate openly and professionally within the HR team, sharing ideas and raising process improvements or concerns.

Work closely and collaboratively with HQ.
