WHO WE LOOK FOR šŸ¦„

Every day our platforms power campaigns and experiences that reach millions of users across multiple channels and partners.
As a Senior Software Engineer, Ā your mission is to design, build, and evolve scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that enable our products to grow beyond our core Ad Exchange.

You will play a key role in extending campaign distribution to major off-app and social platforms (such as Meta and Google), ensuring our campaigns can be configured, tracked, optimized, and monitored seamlessly across different ecosystems.

Since you will be working in a highly collaborative environment, you will closely cooperate with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams, contributing both technically and architecturally to our solutions.

Ā

WHAT YOU WILL DO šŸ„

Your main responsibilities revolve around building and maintaining cloud-native, fullstack applications with a strong backend focus, while contributing to frontend development when needed.

Here are some examples of what you will work on:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs used by internal teams and external partners;
  • Own and evolve integrations with third-party platforms (e.g. Meta, Google), ensuring reliability, observability, and performance;
  • Build and maintain distributed systems with a strong focus on security, scalability, and fault tolerance;
  • Collaborate with Product to translate business requirements into technical solutions and system designs;
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following SOLID principles and established design patterns;
  • Contribute to frontend development using React and modern component-based architectures when needed;
  • Debug, monitor, and improve production systems, proactively addressing performance and reliability issues;
  • Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making, bringing a senior engineering perspective;
  • Continuously improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and overall engineering best practices.

Ā

WHAT YOU WILL NEED šŸŖ„

Backend Development:

  • 5+ years of backend development experience:
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and/or Node.js;
  • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs;
  • Solid understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, and design patterns;

  • Strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.

Software Engineering Practices:

  • Proficient with Git and modern branching strategies;
  • Experience with unit and integration testing;
  • Hands-on experience debugging, monitoring, and maintaining production systems;
  • Experience working with distributed systems.

Ā

šŸ‘‰ At our company, we value diversity and actively encourage it — we believe a variety of perspectives and backgrounds makes us stronger. We focus on potential rather than on having a ā€œperfectā€ CV. If this role excites you and you believe you could grow into it — even if you don’t tick every single box in the requirements — we’d love to hear from you!

TO FEEL AT HOME šŸ›‹ļø IN SHOPFULLY YOU NEED šŸŽÆ

  • Progress Over Perfection: We move forward. Always. In a fast-moving world, speed with purpose beats certainty without action. Momentum matters—not for its own sake, but because it drives results.
  • Clarity Through Transparency: We bring each other along. We work in teams, not silos. Transparency gives context, and context enables action. That means we share decisions early, publish work in progress, and document outcomes so others can learn, move faster, and build better.
  • Learn Loudly: We grow by doing and by daring. Big bets unlock big breakthroughs. But real innovation demands risk, and risk always carries the possibility of failure. That’s not a flaw. It’s the price of ambition.
  • Challenge with Empathy: We speak up, even when it’s hard—because candor shows care, and leads to better outcomes. Listening deeply is how we grow. Disagreeing openly is how we build trust.

Always Build Better: We are builders—of products, systems, and ideas. But more than that, we are builders of better. Better has no finish line. It’s a mindset.
