This position will be based out of an Amazon corporate office, and requires the ability to travel periodically.

Amazon Transportation Services have built world-class Middle Mile operations, which rely on an exceptional pool of carriers who work relentlessly to meet our customers’ expectations. TRC is looking for a high-judgment individual to join us as an Audit & Compliance Manager to assess carriers’ compliance against contractual and legal requirements, and drive a compliance culture both internally and externally.

We are looking for an individual with strong audit experience, preferably in transport, who can apply their expertise to:
1) conduct and manage thorough carrier assessments,
2) identify compliance, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks at carrier and control level, and propose risk-mitigation solutions,
3) deliver detailed finding and recommendation reports for both carriers and business teams (e.g., Legal, Carrier Operations, etc.).
The successful candidate will have exceptional investigation and attention to details aptitudes, as well as strong data-driven mindset and capabilities, but also excellent soft skills for building trustworthy relationships with stakeholders, peers, and carriers. Finally, the successful candidate will display good team spirit and autonomy.

The minimum base pay salary for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final base pay and any applicable total compensation elements depending on skills and requirements.

Company discretionary, supplementary benefits apply subject to further terms, including pension plans, health insurance, life and disability insurance, business travel insurance, MultiSport card, discounts for meals at the company’s canteen, employee discount code and program (EDC/Extras), and the Employee Assistance Program (private and confidential counselling and referral service to support health and well-being).

The minimum base pay for this position is PLN 10,166 monthly.

Key job responsibilities
• Audit carriers to verify that they operate compliantly with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Provide precise audit reports to carriers, with clear finding details, and actionable short/mid/long-term corrective and preventative action items, thus helping them achieve and maintain compliance requirements
• Provide thorough findings and recommendation reports to senior management and business partners at both carrier- and control-level
• Investigate suspicious carrier activity and behavior that could pose a risk to Amazon, our customers, or the society at large
• Meet individual and team goals with the highest standards and diligence
• Achieve audit productivity and quality standards
• Lead and/or participate in special projects and/or assignments as necessary


A day in the life
There are no two days completely alike in this role, but most will include:
1. Conducting and/or managing audits, working collaboratively with e.g., Global Solutions Risk and Compliance, Legal, and Carrier Operations
2. Delivering audit reports, inclusive of compliance-driving recommendations
3. Attending team and stakeholder meetings to drive a compliance culture in and out of the organization
4. Supporting carriers with their compliance questions or doubts
5. Working on special projects and/or initiatives to attain team/individual goals

Through ongoing compliance monitoring and risk management activities, we provide transportation leaders with the data they need to make informed risk management decisions.

Basic Qualifications


- Highly proficient in both spoken and written German (CEFR C1)
- Highly proficient in both spoken and written Polish (CEFR C1)
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, or risk/loss prevention, including demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures, conduct compliance audits, and identify risk areas
- Experience handling confidential information
- Highly proficient in both spoken and written English (CEFR C1)

Preferred Qualifications

- Fluency / working knowledge of other European languages, including Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Estonian, Lithuanian, Czech, Portuguese, and/or Dutch (CEFR C1)
- Working knowledge of European transportation and contractual laws and regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work under pressure, and deliver high-standard results quickly
- Ability to work with teams – both remotely and in-person – with the highest levels of team spirit and integrity
