SUD is a $1.6 billion global business that promotes, sells, and delivers a wide range of flexible and bio rigid containment products and bioprocessing equipment to its primary customers worldwide.
Position Summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific's Single Use Division needs a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Flexible Business Unit Leadership team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, Flexibles engaging with various Product Managers to guide decision making and drive operational improvements.
We are looking for someone with good business sense and who is highly analytical with great attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills are key to be successful. Furthermore, experience in navigating complex matrixed environments is required. It is a role that requires a self-starter that is hands-on and is a critical thinker. Establishing strong partnerships with business leaders is essential in our fast-paced environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Business Partnering to drive growth by providing analytics and insights to product managers including new product initiatives, pricing, Capex analysis, marketing and R&D investments.
- Forecast and analyze Bookings, Revenue, Standard Margins of Flexibles product lines, identify risks and opportunities. Align with business partners to drive results.
- Analyze monthly price results and forecast future quarter price estimates.
- Quarter-end responsibility of revenue reconciliation and analysis for Flexible BU and Total Flexible, providing daily updates to the Division and other stakeholders.
- Monthly and Quarterly business review preparation and provide insight into key results.
- Annually, lead and coordinate bookings, revenue, margin Operating Plan/STRAP and prepare analysis for executive review.
- Identify and provide suggestions to enhance business processes and reporting for enhanced financial performance.
- Proactively lead analytics to influence revenue growth and drive margin expansion.
- Immerse yourself in the financials and strategies of multiple NPIs, including portfolio prioritization.
- Ensure compliance and optimized processes.
- Support adhoc financial modeling and analytics.
- Continuously drive operational improvements (PPI) in our internal processes.
- Use systems/tools to automate reporting where applicable.
How You Will Get Here:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 4+ years experience working within finance
- Prior experience in a large global and highly matrixed organization
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Motivated business partner and influencer of outcomes. Ability to address problems through collaboration and influence
- Organized multitasker: workload prioritization, able to meet tight deadlines while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Consistent track record to simplify and streamline finance processes
- Highly analytical with strong business insight
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), enterprise-wide ERP systems (Oracle R12), Power BI, Hyperion Planning is a plus. SQL competency a must
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $103,100.00–$130,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
