Trend Micro now is hiring a Senior UX Designer to join our Consumer Business Unit, based in Taipei.
In this role, you will help shape the next generation of consumer cybersecurity experiences, bringing together design, technology, and human-centered thinking
to create products that feel intuitive, trustworthy, and seamlessly integrated into everyday life.
Our mission is to make cybersecurity more accessible and more human: helping people understand digital risks and proactively protect the people they care about.
🌏 What you will work on
You will design consumer cybersecurity experiences for our primary markets in Japan and Western regions, and contribute to:
Cross-market UX strategy and localization
End-to-end experience design for mobile and web platforms
Trust-driven, human-centered security experiences
AI-augmented design workflows
Cross-functional collaboration with
Product Management, Engineering, and MarketingMulti-disciplinary UX collaboration with
Visual Designers, UX Researchers, and Content Writers

📍 Role details & expectations
Title: Senior UX Designer
Location: Tokyo or Taipei
Team: Consumer Business Unit
Primary markets: Japan + Western regions
Language requirement (must-have)
Business-level English, able to present, discuss, and collaborate with global teams
TOEIC Gold Certificate (860+ preferred) or equivalent proof of professional English working proficiency
Experience requirement (must-have)
5+ years of experience in UX or Product Design
Strong background in B2C consumer products (e.g., mobile apps, lifestyle services, smart devices, finance, or cybersecurity)
Education background (preferred)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
UX Design
Human–Computer Interaction (HCI)
Product Design
Interaction Design
Visual Communication Design
Psychology
Cognitive Science
Behavioral Science
or a related design, behavioral science, or engineering discipline
Or equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio

Candidates with one or more of the following will be given preference:
Experience designing B2C consumer products
with responsibility for user trust, reassurance, or long-term retentionExperience with aging populations, inclusive design, or accessibility (a11y)
Experience collaborating with marketing or growth teams on
product positioning, brand tone, or conversion optimizationExperience designing AI-driven, data-driven, or automation-based products
Familiarity with design systems and cross-product consistency
Basic Japanese communication skills (not required)
