Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure quality and integrity of release documentation.
  • Create supplier requisitions monthly.
  • Ensure average time for resolving an incident.
  • Develop and submit reports on service desk performance.
  • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Resolve audit findings.
  • Assist with managing the Service Desk
  • Develop communiqués to be approved by IT Business Relationship Manager prior to distribution.
  • Monitor the team’s performance to ensure that SLA’s / OLA’s are me
  • Perform secondary interface to clients on escalated issues and provide status of issue enquiries, updates and resolutions at the applicable site.
  • Serve as a lead, for the planning and execution of initiatives to enable the business to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology.
  • Address business demand by capturing business requirements and producing high level technology requirements.
  • Manage and control all activities of business relationship management to ensure provisioning of new and enhanced services to business.
  • Ensure robust demand process and practices in place for ACSA to assess impacts.
  • Maintain demand process for new proposals with overall responsibility for logging and steering these proposals through the early phases of approval.
  • Provide technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
  • Provides strategic consultation to business and IT teams and may participate in quality reviews in order to ensure that IT solutions meet business requirements.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of Business Process Model (BPM), Business process IT component mapping.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (3 years - 360 credits) NQF Level 7 in Information Technology is essential.
  • Certification in ITIL Incident Management is essential.
  • 6 years operational experience in Information Technology is essential.
  • 2 years management experience in Information Technology / Incident Management is essential.
