Warehouse Administrative Specialist

Findlay, OH


Responsibility & Authority

The Administrative Specialist is responsible for providing support to managers, engineers, supervisors and customers by gathering, auditing and presenting accurate data. The Administrative Specialist gathers and analyzes project data, payroll data and data from layered process audits to establish and maintain policies, processes and procedures. The Administrative Specialist prepares various reports, charts and payroll data for customers and for management. With direction from managers, engineers and supervisors, the Administrative Specialist develops job aids, work instructions and project documents. The Administrative Specialist maintains inventories of uniforms and supplies as well as maintaining an organized office environment

Requirements

 MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Abilities):

  • Basic Outlook and Excel experience
  • Create, read, interpret and improve charts, graphs and other data
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow a process
  • Ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification
  • Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage accuracy of data into receiving and inventory computer systems
  • Support the receipt of goods to support our customer
  • Process necessary documents for receipt and shipment of goods
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership
  • Leverage technology to positively impact accuracy and efficiency
  • Timely arrival and departure for shifts and breaks
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings with each shift
  • Read SQDCM boards daily to ensure understanding priorities
  • Actively listen and consistently explore new opportunities to add value for our customer
  • Refrain from behaviors that have a negative impact on the team or the customer
  • Willing to train others
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding process management and improvement
  • Accurate and timely data collection
  • Collaborate with customer management teams, clients and Bluegrass management
  • Work with various members of management regarding safety training, human resources, accounting tasks and data reporting
  • Resourceful and creative to make things happen when confronted by obstacles. Think outside the box for solutions that others might not see
  • Continually abide by safety, quality and LEAN/5S procedures
  • Identify and correct potential safety hazards in the facility

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An Administrative Specialist can work in any range of environments, from a climate-controlled space to a warehouse or factory floor where temperatures can vary from extreme cold to extreme heat. Warehouse Technicians must be able to sit or stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) on unpadded floors and will occasionally be required to bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull, and grasp. Additionally, Warehouse Technicians will occasionally be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Eye/hand coordination is also required. Exposure to chemical hazards, electrical hazards, sharp objects/tools, noise, and vibration is anticipated.


TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Handheld scanning devices and other data collection tools
  • Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and WMS inventory management systems
  • Radios, mirrors, flashlights, micrometers, tape measures, dyes, paints, chemical cleaners, rulers, gauges, micrometers, calipers, hand tools, power tools, air tools, steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, and any other tools and equipment required per customer request

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent.


WORK EXPERIENCE:

Prior warehouse experience is required; two years of experience is preferred.


SHIFT: Monday - Friday: AM-7am-3:30pm & PM-5:30pm-2am,
