Human Resources Job Responsibilities:

Maintains and enhances the company’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain employee staff by recruiting, testing, and interviewing candidates; conduct exit interviews
  • Conduct orientation and training
  • Process employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
  • Input employee time and attendance records
  • Maintain employee benefits programs – Insurance and Retirement
  • Process Certified Payroll as required
  • Implements human resource federal and state requirements
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge of human resources
  • Maintain 401k contributions
Skills and Qualifications:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • 3+ years of HR experience (construction or trades industry preferred)
  • Self‑driven and able to take initiative without constant supervision
  • Personable and approachable, able to build rapport with field crews, supervisors, and leadership
  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and employee relations
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes high‑pressure environment
  • Ability to recruit for skilled trades, laborers, and project management roles
  • Experience with workers’ compensation claims and return‑to‑work programs
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
