The Ideal Candidate

  • Solid experience of working in an FMCG food environment (ideally within high care).
  • Solid and demonstrable engineering management experience of sizeable teams.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering (electrical and mechanical) needs.
  • Rational thinking and sound judgement.
  • City & Guilds electrical and mechanical certificate.
  • Industrial hydraulic and pneumatics trained.
  • Results orientated.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing positive and innovative team environments.
  • Strong ability to proactively plan and prioritise.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo in order to achieve a culture dedicated to continuous improvement and best practice.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a team of engineers 
  • To effectively implement planned preventative maintenance programmes across the Company ensuring effective usage of engineering personnel
  • To monitor effectiveness of department utilising KPI statistical information and daily performance reports.  To functionally and proactively develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce yield losses and reduce labour costs
  • To analyse, prepare and present effective solutions to the senior management team
  • To ensure all health and safety initiatives within the department are adhered to and monitored.
  • Analyse discrepancies and implement corrective and preventative measures, obtaining regular reports to assess the success of these measures.
