The Ideal Candidate
- Solid experience of working in an FMCG food environment (ideally within high care).
- Solid and demonstrable engineering management experience of sizeable teams.
- Knowledge of basic engineering (electrical and mechanical) needs.
- Rational thinking and sound judgement.
- City & Guilds electrical and mechanical certificate.
- Industrial hydraulic and pneumatics trained.
- Results orientated.
- Demonstrable experience of developing positive and innovative team environments.
- Strong ability to proactively plan and prioritise.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo in order to achieve a culture dedicated to continuous improvement and best practice.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage a team of engineers
- To effectively implement planned preventative maintenance programmes across the Company ensuring effective usage of engineering personnel
- To monitor effectiveness of department utilising KPI statistical information and daily performance reports. To functionally and proactively develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce yield losses and reduce labour costs
- To analyse, prepare and present effective solutions to the senior management team
- To ensure all health and safety initiatives within the department are adhered to and monitored.
- Analyse discrepancies and implement corrective and preventative measures, obtaining regular reports to assess the success of these measures.
