Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Web Developer & Designer to join the Marketing and Digital Engagement team on a fixed-term, full-time contract through to December 2026.
Key responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain web solutions with a focus on mobile-first and responsive design.
- Provide and support the analysis into the design, developing, building, configuring, testing, implementation and administration of web content and solutions.
- Provide technical support and advice to the Digital Engagement team’s business as usual activities.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
In this role you will provide front end web design and development expertise to support the University’s digital presence.
This will include work on the design and technical development of the core University digital engagement channels including the core websites, email marketing and marketing automation and ensuring the optimal user experience, accuracy, currency and delivery.
We’re looking for someone who is flexible, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
Key requirements:
- Strong experience with responsive front-end designs (Vue preferred).
- Commercial experience with Javascript, HTML and CSS – minimum 3 years.
- Strong experience with responsive front-end designs.
- Experience in building sites with a CMS.
