Job Description
The HR IT Solutions Portfolio under the IT Group is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing management of enterprise HR technology platforms that support the full employee lifecycle. This portfolio oversees core HR systems such as Workday and other Employee Self-Service (ESS) applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with business and HR objectives.The team partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate people and workforce requirements into effective digital solutions. It manages system implementation, configuration, integration, enhancement, and support while driving process standardization, data integrity, and user experience improvements. The HR IT Solutions Portfolio plays a critical role in enabling efficient HR operations, compliance, analytics, and employee engagement through modern, reliable technology.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Strategy Management
Own the overall HR IT solutions portfolio, including Workday and related HR/ESS applications
Define and maintain the HR systems roadmap aligned with HR, business, and IT strategies
Prioritize initiatives, enhancements, and technical debt based on business value and risk
Ensure portfolio alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and data standards
Solution Delivery & Operations
Oversee implementation, configuration, upgrades, and enhancements of HR systems
Ensure stable day-to-day operations, incident management, and SLA performance
Manage integrations with payroll, finance, identity, and other enterprise systems
Drive automation and process optimization across HR digital workflows
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Act as the primary IT partner to HR leadership and functional teams
Translate HR business requirements into effective technical solutions
Manage relationships with vendors, system integrators, and SaaS providers (e.g., Workday partners)
Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and decision-making sessions
Data, Security & Compliance
Ensure HR systems meet data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and audit readiness
Support HR analytics and reporting needs through reliable system design
People & Financial Management
Lead and develop internal teams and/or managed service providers
Manage portfolio budget, licensing costs, and vendor spend
Support capacity planning and skills development within the HR IT domain
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field
8+ years of experience in IT application management, with significant exposure to HR systems
Hands-on or leadership experience with Workday (HCM, Talent, or related modules)
Strong experience in enterprise application delivery, support, and integration
Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and complex portfolios
Knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle
Familiarity with SaaS governance, ITIL, Agile, or product-based delivery models
Workday certification or experience working with Workday implementation partners
