POSITION SUMMARY: As our Employment Paralegal you will be involve in assisting attorneys with labor and employment cases, handling legal research, drafting documents (motions, discovery, position statements), managing case files, coordinating with clients/agencies, and preparing for hearings or trials, focusing on compliance, employee/employer issues, and dispute resolution, requiring strong organization, research, and communication skills to manage complex regulations and evidence.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Document Management: Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery requests (interrogatories, admissions), position statements, subpoenas, and other legal documents.

Legal Research: Conduct research on employment statutes, case law, regulations, and online resources such as State & County Law and Court databases.

Case & File Management: Maintain client files, manage deadlines, organize exhibits, and track compliance dates.

Discovery Support: Handle formal discovery, summarize depositions/transcripts, and manage electronic data/records.

Client & Agency Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients, HR, courts, and government agencies, gathering information and relaying messages.

Trial & Hearing Preparation: Compile trial notebooks, arrange witness interviews, prepare witnesses, and assist attorneys with logistics and evidence.

Track and complete business license renewal and purchase, Worker Compensation, and Guest Claim.

Administrative Tasks: Manage calendars, schedule appointments, handle correspondence, and perform general secretarial duties as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.

Prior experience managing business licensing portfolios is a plus!
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s or associate degree preferred

At least one year of administrative and clerical experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements – Ability to stand and walk approximately 10-15% of shift; ability to lift and carry 10-50 lbs.; ability to move freely throughout the company office; ability to drive a motor vehicle. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
