Role Purpose

Lead and oversee technical development projects for our Email Marketing Development team, leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). Manage a team member in support of program requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Project Leadership: 
    • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of technical development projects within the email marketing domain.
    • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Technical Coordination: 
    • Partner with developers, architects, and marketing teams to implement solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
    • Ensure integration with CRM systems, data platforms, and other marketing technologies.
  • Hybrid Agile Delivery: 
    • Drive projects using a hybrid Agile approach, blending iterative development with traditional project management practices.
    • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management while maintaining overall project governance.
  • Stakeholder Management: 
    • Serve as a liaison between marketing, IT, and external vendors.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Process & Governance: 
    • Establish and enforce project management best practices, including Agile or hybrid methodologies.
    • Maintain documentation, compliance standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Risk & Issue Management: 
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Resolve technical and operational challenges promptly.
  • Performance Tracking: 
    • Monitor KPIs and project metrics to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

  • 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in marketing technology or CRM platforms.
    • Proven track record managing technical projects involving Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
    • Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Experience hiring and managing multiple vendors for large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably under pressure, balancing competing priorities and adapting quickly to a constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, colleagues, staff, and hotels.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required with precise accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships by establishing credibility through subject matter expertise with a collaborative, solution-driven approach.
  • Demonstrated budgeting skills
  • Familiarity with meeting industry software and online registration tools, Audio/Visual equipment and experience with Virtual meeting applications/Webinars.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a systematic manner.
  • Demonstrated strong contract negotiation skills with understanding of event vendor contract terms/language.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing workflows, data segmentation, and automation.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications (Preferred): 
    • PMP, Agile/Scrum certification.
