
About this role
Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, monitor and maintain robust network infrastructures to deliver secure, high-availability (>99.9%) network services throughout a global environment.
- Implement and support networking solutions according to our Incorporated standards and industry best practices.
- Assist and consult with systems and network professionals, including those at other sites, on networking initiatives, technologies, and compatibility between sites.
- Engage with vendors to support a stable network environment.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with structured cabling and liaise with cabling vendors.
- Manage and implement planned changes in pre-scheduled maintenance windows off hours.
- Deliver end-user support to a regional user base on a timely basis and in accordance with department standards, consistent with legal and statutory requirements and with industry best practices.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
- 4-6 years of experience in Enterprise Network planning, design, and management for a global company.
- L1 & L2 Network Operational Support.
- Excellent knowledge on Switching, Routing & Firewall concepts.
- Monitor network devices using the Monitoring tool, coordinate with site contacts and service providers as needed, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Strong hands-on experience in handling, troubleshooting network and security related issues.
- Responsible for managing firewalls, your duties will typically span across configuring, maintaining, securing, monitoring, troubleshooting to ensure network integrity and security.
- Good to have knowledge on Load balancers, SDWAN and automation.
- Must be able to scale upwards and adopt newer technologies that include converged infrastructure, software de-fined networks, and application delivery.
- Excellent customer service skills including telephone techniques, listening skills, sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with end-users, IT professionals and management.
- Demonstrated skills in network project planning and management, documentation, problem-solving and work prioritization.
- Strong vendor management experience desired.
- Should have good communication and troubleshooting skills to manage MPLS, telecom, and data service providers.
- Must be both team-oriented and self-motivated.
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications preferred.
- Willing to travel, domestic and international.
- Willing to work in 24/7 on call.
Preferred (but not mandatory) Skills:
- Familiarity with VOIP technology.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
