Position Title: Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)

Location: On-site ,Relocation to Bahrain .
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support a governmental project with the Ministry of Finance (MOF). The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance tuning, security, and availability of Oracle database environments, ensuring high reliability and compliance with government IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures (RMAN)
- Ensure database security, user access control, and compliance
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution
- Support production, test, and development environments
- Apply patches, updates, and upgrades as required
- Document database configurations, procedures, and incidents
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
- Ensure adherence to government IT policies and best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
- Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c)
- Hands-on experience with RMAN, backup and recovery
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM is a plus
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems
- Prior experience in government or large enterprise projects is preferred
