Finance Manager
Location – Parramatta with flexible working arrangements
Employment type – Full time, Temporary up to 24 months
Salary – Grade 11/12 -$149,739 to $ 173,174 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading benefits

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.
Homes NSW leads to delivering more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW.
What you’ll do
As a Finance Manager within Business Operations team, you will be responsible to deliver the assigned accountability within Homes NSW to achieve compliance with policies, statutory requirements and external regulators. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Develop and implement finance policies and accounting standards for Homes NSW to ensure consistency in finance policy, protocols and reporting across divisions and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Undertake end-to-end internal and external reporting processes to inform decision making and ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.
- Take a lead role in the oversight of reviewing, developing and implementing financial reporting systems including identification and mitigation of risks
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to the to team members to ensure deadlines are met, finance knowledge is shared, and quality deliverables are provided
- Develop and manage key strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, includes CFO, Director Financial Control, NSW Treasury and NSW Audit Office.
- Design and implement strategies to educate relevant business areas to develop financial capability and improve confidence and accountability in financial business decision making, which promotes a consistent financial management approach across Homes NSW.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience with multiple construction projects and programs ensuring all milestones are met, objectives are achieved and budgets managed.
- Experienced in leading a highly motivated team.
- Ability to work in tight timeframes and competing priorities. Identifying emerging budgetary risks and developing mitigation strategies through coordination across stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of asset management practices.
- CPA/CA qualified.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in managing the accounting for large capital program, preferably in Construction will be an advantage.
