Position Summary

Provides generalist legal service to internal clients in various issues in line with the guidance of the Legal & Compliance Part Leader on a broad range of matters including regulatory compliance, competition, consumer protection, employment, risk management, commercial contracts, liability, and other matters to ensure the maximum protection of the company and to maintain operations within the limits prescribed by law.

Role and Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts between the company and third parties to ensure that the company’s interests are protected in line with respective laws
  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of issues to the senior management and to business teams with a main focus on civil law, labour law, competition law, data protection, consumer protection and general commercial matters
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Monitor changes in legislation and update internal policies and advise the company accordingly.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop preventive measures
  • Support the Legal & Compliance Part in any kind of legal issues
  • Complete legal review of marketing materials
  • Manage compliance related tasks in line with the relevant company policies
  • Coordinate, administrate and deliver compliance related trainings to Samsung employees
  • Keep contact with regional and global Compliance and Legal Team occasionally
  • Substitute Legal & Compliance Part Leader in case of absence
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to regional and global headquarters

  • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
  • Responsible for obtaining results correctly and in time
  • Responsible for using the assigned fixed assets properly
  • Treat company information, operation and documents confidential
  • Aware of the company policies and internal regulation of the company and act accordingly
  • Perform other activities and tasks which are delegated to employee by the line manager keeping in mind the legal regulation

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • University degree in Law and completed bar exam
  • At least 5 years of experience post bar in either in an international law firm or corporate legal affairs (experience in a multinational environment is an advantage)
  • Fluent Hungarian and advanced professional English skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management is an advantage
  • MS Office literacy (Word, Power Point)
  • Persistent and precise way of working
  • Structured and focused communication
  • Ability to work under pressure
