About the Role
The position is part of the Customer Experience Development Team who are dedicated to enhancing the customer experience and empowering the business. We focus on creating streamlined workflows, ensuring data integrity, and providing easier, more reliable access to information - so teams can work smarter and customers benefit from seamless interactions.
The successful applicant will work as part of a team and assist with development and continuous improvement of organisation-wide reporting and analytics to inform decision‑making, drive business improvements, and elevate customer outcomes. There will be a strong focus on developing and maintaining customer data, building automated customer reports and managing the Microsoft Power Platform environments.
Key Focus Areas
•Design, build and maintain in-house queries, data models and dashboards (Databricks, Power BI) that illuminate performance and identify business improvement opportunities.
•Develop automated customer reports using Paginated Reports and Power Automate, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
•Build, maintain and optimise Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes.
•Manage Power BI workspaces, permissions, dataset refresh schedules, and gateway connections.
•Oversee development-to-production deployment pipelines, ensuring structured version control and governance.
•Ensure best practices for error handling, logging, and security.
•Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytics for complex projects (e.g., customer reports, Salesforce data and workflow improvements, billing accuracy, customer contract data, sales opportunities, risk/compliance reporting).
Education and Qualifications
• Relevant undergraduate degree with strong academic record or other relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. IT, Commerce, Data Science, Economics, Finance).
Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual).
• Critical thinking – ability to understand and analyse business problems and find solutions.
• Project Management skills implementing methodologies and frameworks for reporting and evaluating new concepts.
• Curiosity, imagination, and a keenness to share your findings
• Ability to engage effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders, with clear presentation and explanation of complex information.
• Passion and initiative, an eye-for-detail, and be outcome driven
• Strong attention to detail, very organised with the ability to deliver on strict deadlines.
• Experience with Salesforce, Azure/Databricks highly regarded.
• Energy industry experience highly regarded.
Technical Capabilities
• Mix of SQL, Python, DAX, Power Query (M) and Power Fx.
• Proven experience in Microsoft products such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate and Paginated Reports.
• Proficiency in data modelling concepts.
