We have a unique opportunity for an Accountant to join our Treasury team. This rare 5-month contract is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to a future-focused organisation.
Role Detail
As an Accountant, you will work closely with the Treasury Manager to oversee daily treasury operations, monitor cash flows, manage banking platforms, and implement effective risk management strategies.
Your contributions will be vital in delivering high-quality treasury services, including operational tasks, foreign exchange, and transactional banking support.
This opportunity is being offered on a 5-month full-time contract basis and will be based in our Sydney office.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily treasury payments and funding operations
- Post journals and reconcile treasury balance sheet accounts
- Monitor and consolidate daily cash positions; coordinate cash movements between accounts and subsidiaries
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and provide actionable insights to aid decision-making
- Generate covenant reports to ensure compliance
- Manage daily foreign exchange operations
- Execute administrative transactional banking duties and associated KYC processes, including maintaining system access
- Assist in arranging bank guarantees, analysing exposure limits, and collaborating with business units on operational matters
- Actively participate in treasury and banking projects, focusing on continuous improvement of business processes and controls
About You
- Previous experience in a Corporate Treasury environment, with a solid foundation in transactional banking
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Exceptional multi-tasking capabilities and a flexible, proactive mindset
- Excellent technical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in judgment and analysis for informed decision-making
- Advanced Excel skills to enhance your contributions
