Your mission at Sitoo
As a Data Engineer at Sitoo, you will be a foundational member of the Data & Analytics team, responsible for building and evolving our data platform and infrastructure that power business insights, analytics, and data products across the company.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will shape our data platform from the ground up making data reliable, accessible, and trusted. If you enjoy ownership, pragmatic architecture, and seeing your work directly influence how a company operates and grows, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
Build and develop a scalable and modern data platform in a cloud environment, ensuring our platform reliably supports growing data demands across the company and our product.
Design and develop robust and efficient data pipelines and frameworks that streamline how data is ingested, processed, and made available, delivering timely, accurate data to power insights, analytics, and data products.
Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to understand real needs and translate them into data solutions, including partnering with Engineering on event tracking, schemas, and performance.
Own the reliability and quality of the data platform, including orchestration, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, alerting, and pragmatic data contracts
Implement security, privacy, and governance standards, including access control and responsible handling of sensitive data (PII).
What you'll bring to the table
~5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Proven track record of hands-on building and evolving a modern data platform in a cloud environment and designing and operating scalable, reliable data pipelines end-to-end.
Hands-on experience working with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or similar)
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python or similar language (eg. Scala or Java)
Strong working knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar)
Experience with version control and CI/CD practices for data, including secure development workflows and responsible handling of sensitive data (PII).
Proven ability in implementing data quality and testing practices, such as automated tests, monitoring, and validation.
