Join us as a: Senior / Principal Machine Learning Engineer
About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior / Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our team to build and deploy scalable machine learning solutions. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, depending on experience and contribution.
In this role you’ll get to:
Lead the end-to-end operationalization of ML models, from data preprocessing and pipeline construction to training, deployment, and monitoring.
Design and implement solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its native services for scalable ML deployments.
Write clean, efficient code in Python, leveraging libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
Manage and optimize data storage solutions using SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehousing tools such as BigQuery.
Build and maintain workflows and orchestration pipelines using Apache Airflow.
Mentor junior engineers and promote a positive, collaborative learning environment.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear technical strategies.
Balance tactical execution with strategic vision:
Senior level: Focuses on hands-on delivery and tactical execution of machine learning projects.
Principal level: Takes a broader, long-term strategic view, influencing technical direction across multiple teams and the entire organization.
Stay current with emerging ML technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate
What you’ll need to succeed:
Extensive experience in developing and deploying production-ready ML solutions.
Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Expert-level skills in Python programming and data science libraries.
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with data warehousing solutions.
Experience using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Ability to operate both at a detailed, tactical level and at a broader, strategic level in line with the role distinction:
Senior: Primarily tactical, focused on project execution and delivery.
Principal: Primarily strategic, shaping long-term technical vision and guiding multiple teams.
Comfortable working in a flexible, remote-friendly environment.
