Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. We are on the lookout for an experienced Network Engineer to join one of Australia’s largest corporate networks. In joining Coles, you will gain the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies, services and solutions and offer ongoing support for complex issues across Coles’ wider Network Services Team.

About the role:                                                   

This role provides tier 3 operational network support, including changes, tasks and incidents. You will build and configure the Coles Network, with a focus on Wi-Fi and Unified communications technologies, and manage the lifecycle of a large enterprise network serving multiple offices, distribution centres and retail locations. 

                                        

About you and your skills: 

To be successful, you will have experience in most of the following: 

  • Working with Cisco Network technologies such as traditional routing, switching and telephony 

  • Building, maintaining, and securing Wi-Fi and associated environments in a Cisco Catalyst Centre and/or Juniper MIST environment 

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager 

  • Webex, Zoom and Teams including cloud calling and contact centre 

  • Oracle Session Border Controllers 

  • Proven capability in implementing and maintaining enterprise level network services in a large-scale, complex, and distributed business environment. 

  • Delivering network tasks within a project environment 

  • Working in an environment with a Network Operations Centre. 

  • Communicating effectively within the team, and in cross team engagements. 

  • Demonstrated understanding of technology trends and issues affecting networks and network security practices. 

  • Assist with the lifecycle management (LCM) of network infrastructure, particularly of Wi-Fi and Unified Communications infrastructure 

  • Experience building highly available networks 

  • Proven performance in development of network diagrams and documentation, and working with in-depth designs and process documentation for infrastructure in a large scale, complex and distributed business environment 

  • Be available for on-call out of hours support across all network infrastructure on a 1 week in 8 basis and also to perform occasional out of hours system changes
