Working hours 

Mon- Friday 8am – 5pm. Some after hours and weekends due to client needs. 

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (afterhours and weekends).

We're seeking a Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer to design, support, and optimize hybrid environments across Azure, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure in a fast-paced MSP environment. This is a hands-on senior role for someone strong in both traditional infrastructure and modern cloud platforms. No Citrix required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Design, support, and optimize hybrid cloud environments (on-premises + Azure/AWS)
  • Manage cloud infrastructure including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and backups
  • Support on-premises infrastructure:
    •  Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
    •  VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
    •  Networking (firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs)
    • Storage (SAN/NAS) and backup/disaster recovery solutions
  • Implement automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure issues
  • Act as a senior escalation point and mentor junior engineers
  • Maintain clear documentation and follow ITIL-aligned processes


Who you are:

  • Minimum 5+ years of senior-level experience in hybrid cloud and infrastructure engineering
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Solid background in traditional on-premises infrastructure management
  • Proven experience in an MSP or multi-client environment
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve technical problems and troubleshoot in complex client-server environments


Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server (2008-present)
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, and RDS
  • Knowledge of VMware ESXi and Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Understanding of networking technologies including switching, firewall, and wireless configuration
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Office 365 and Azure
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field preferred


Nice to Have

  • Azure, AWS, VMware, or networking certifications (MCSE, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation)
  • Compliance or regulated-environment experience
  • Familiarity with MSP applications like ConnectWise, LabTech, and IT Glue

Pay and Benefits:    

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely with minimal travel.  

Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: Minimum $90,000+ annually, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.  Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
