The customer is well-known supplier of home and commercial audio systems in North America and Europe in 60+ countries, one of audio streaming pioneers. It partners with more than 100 companies that offer music services, including Pandora, Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music. Advanced tech on Hi Fi audio speakers is managed via AI voice assistant or rich mobile app. It allows smart and easy ways to play music, radio, podcasts etc., transfer audio between speakers or get help from the AI assistant like Amazon Alexa wherever you are. It also partners with IKEA, manufacturing some of the devices shipped by Swedish giant.

Orion Innovation has been successfully working with this customer for more than 2 years, helping to deliver newer versions of mobile apps and enhance cloud services. Now the customer is looking for a new development team that is responsible for the low-level programming of speaker’s firmware.

What you will be doing:

Work in Scrum teams that consist of developers
Design and develop new features with C/C++

Our expectations:

8+ years of professional experience in software development
Deep level knowledge of C++ in a Linux context.
Deep, system-level understanding of Linux internals: multithreading (pthreads), memory management, system calls, and kernel/driver interaction.
Experience with WiFi
Experience in working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

Previous experience with the development of audio systems will also be a huge plus
Very good to have prior experience with audio data path in Linux
Very good to have prior experience with Bluetooth
