Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented part-qualified accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in month-end close, group reporting, and balance sheet integrity, with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider stakeholders, supporting both operational accounting and continuous process improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong general ledger experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys taking ownership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly close activities including intercompany and cash reconciliations, fixed asset depreciation, AP accruals, prepaid amortisation, rebates accruals, and other month-end tasks
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for Group entities, including balance sheet and P&L analytical reviews
  • Prepare and post monthly manual journal entries and ensure all journals and balance sheet reconciliations are fully supported with appropriate documentation
  • Manage the T&E (Travel & Expense) claims process
  • Support treasury forecast preparation
  • Follow up on open items post month-end
  • Support the Finance Manager with month-end close (MEC) and post-close activities
  • Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently met
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and procedures
  • Support external audits
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and the development of KPIs and SLAs

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Part-qualified accountant or equivalent qualification/experience
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a finance function, with a strong focus on accounting and GL reporting
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and data management
  • Honest, accountable, and self-driven
  • Comfortable working under time pressure with a hands-on, “sleeves rolled up” approach
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge where appropriate
  • Partner-oriented mindset with a track record of innovation
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
