Your Client

As a Data Architect, you will define and implement the architecture for our client's Group’s Unified Data Platform (UDP) on Microsoft Azure. You will ensure that the platform meets strategic objectives for scalability, security, and performance while enabling advanced analytics and business intelligence use cases. 

Your Role

  • Design and maintain the end-to-end architecture of the Unified Data Platform.
  • Define data ingestion patterns, storage strategies, and integration frameworks.
  • Establish data governance, security, and compliance standards within the platform.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Provide architectural guidance for data modeling, API design, and advanced analytics integration.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and roadmap planning for platform enhancements.
  • Act as a design authority to ensure consistency across multiple DevOps teams.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture and cloud solutions.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services:
    -- Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Managed Instance
    -- Azure DevOps, ARM templates
  • Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architectures.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or Python scripting for automation.
  • Knowledge of network topologies, firewalls, IAM, and security best practices.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and GDPR compliance.
  • Familiarity with front-end BI tools (Power BI, QlikView/QlikSense).

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with MLOps strategy and integration of machine learning models.
  • Exposure to real-time data streaming and data marketplace concepts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in agile environments.
