  • About the Opportunity
  • *IMMEDIATE START*
  • This is a great chance for an emerging accountant to build confidence and capability in a supportive team environment. Working part-time (22.5 hours per week) in our Perth office, you’ll step into a hands-on role where you can grow your skills across real-world accounting tasks. You’ll help keep our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly, support project teams with budgeting, and contribute to preparing clear financial information for leaders across the organisation. This position is a short-term team and requires fulfilment from February to May.
  • If you’re someone who enjoys learning, is curious about how budgets work in practice, and wants to develop strong foundations in accounting, this role offers the perfect blend of guidance, responsibility and growth.
  • Responsibilities
    • Support daily accounting activities, including processing transactions, assisting with month end tasks and reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset records (warranties, depreciation and stocktakes), and helping with retail inventory reporting.
    • Provide general administrative and finance support across Accounts Payable, banking and travel, escalating issues or discrepancies when needed.
    • Support financial planning and project budgeting by monitoring costs and expenditure against budget, assisting project teams with budget management, and maintaining clear internal controls and safeguards.
    • Prepare clear, accurate financial reports for the Board, Senior Management and the wider organisation, ensuring data integrity and escalating any irregularities or variances to the General Manager Finance and Operations.
  • What You'll Need to Get You Started:
    • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related field
    • One year experience in a similar role
    • Eager to learn
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills
    • Proficiency in the use of Excel, MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite
