ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary role of the Finance Officer is to manage the invoicing and collection of payments from all AIB’s self-funded students. This includes the management of AIB’s bank accounts, student management system, payment plan students and the maintenance of Fee Help student CHESSN allocations.

This role has a strong focus on supporting other departments with student finance related enquiries in which should be attended to in a timely and effective manner and with emphasis on student experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position reports directly to the Finance Director or their elected delegate, for the following key accountabilities and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators:
  • Providing positive student experience through customer service excellence and working collaboratively with company stakeholders.
  • Invoicing of students’ course fees and other miscellaneous fees
  • Receipting of Domestic & International payments
  • Daily bank reconciliation and sending of bank opening balances to BPP
  • Processing of FEE-Help enrolments
  • Management of Payment Plan students
  • Processing of student refunds
  • Assisting with Student enrolments in the student management system
  • Assisting students with Canadian tax forms and other enquiries.
  • TCSI Report weekly review and submission.
  • Review completed students eligible for graduation and send out correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end processing, including the reconciliation
  • Other tasks assigned by the Finance Director during busy periods Compliance with external auditor requests, when applicable
  • Support and/or Back-up to other Finance Officers when they are busy with other important tasks/on leave.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Good communicator, able to listen and empathise with non-finance colleagues
  • Ability to communicate both orally and written with people at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products with intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience and proficiency of the NetSuite accounting package is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate
