The Position:
Ascot Group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of our transactional finance operations and partner closely with the CFO to drive financial excellence across the business. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency in all financial processes while delivering insights that shape strategic decisions.

Financial Operations: Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, supplier payments, and payroll coordination.Systems Leadership: Act as ERP super-user, lead system improvements, integrations, and troubleshooting.Data & Reporting: Ensure data integrity, compliance, and timely month-end close; support management reporting and dashboards.Process Improvement: Streamline workflows, document SOPs, and drive automation for greater efficiency.Compliance & Audit: Maintain strong controls, prepare audit documentation, and manage transactional risk.Planning & Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling aligned to corporate strategy.Insights & Analysis: Deliver monthly reports, analyse performance trends, and support Board/ELT reporting.Business Partnering: Work with divisional leaders to turn financial insights into action; provide commercial support on bids, tenders, and contracts.What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing transactional finance in a multi-site organisation.Strong ERP and finance systems expertise.Advanced skills in budgeting, modelling, and financial analysis.A proactive leader who thrives on improving processes and driving efficiency.Experience in construction or project-based environments (desirable)Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CA/CPA qualified in a chartered firm, followed by three years in industry, or 10+ years’ experience in industry finance positions. What you get:
