What’s the role?
In this Sydney based, fulltime role; you’ll join Westpac’s Finance Transformation team as a Senior Business Analyst, working in the Process, Controls & Risk Management stream of the SRDE Migration Program. This program is critical to modernising a core platform that supports credit risk, capital management, and regulatory reporting, ensuring Westpac meets its regulatory obligations and delivers sustainable outcomes.
In this role, you’ll lead the analysis and delivery of business requirements, identify and remediate impacts to processes and controls, and document current and future states. You’ll develop user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria, support testing and implementation, and partner with delivery teams to ensure requirements are met. You’ll also manage stakeholder engagement, facilitate workshops, and promote best practice methodologies while ensuring risks are assessed and mitigated.
- demonstrated experience in business process improvement, data analysis, and business case preparation.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end business process re-engineering or transformation initiatives.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis, documentation, and lifecycle management.
- Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder engagement across complex projects.
- Knowledge of financial services, credit risk, and regulatory reporting (preferred).
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and agile delivery practices.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience; business or technology background desirable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
