
About this role
Mashreq Bank Pakistan is seeking a visionary and execution-driven Country Product Owner – Cash Digitisation to lead the strategy and development of cash digitisation vertical. The role will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of all the cash digitisation initiatives, digital instruments, digital KIOSK channel, Digital International Transfers and new partnerships, including their development on customer-facing digital touchpoints, for example, mobile banking, internet banking, and emerging platforms (chatbots, conversational AI, open banking, etc.). This is a critical leadership position that requires strategic thinking, product innovation, and execution excellence to position Mashreq Bank as the leading digital-first bank in Pakistan.
Key Result Areas:
Strategic Leadership
• Define and execute the bank’s cash digitisation strategy aligned with customer needs, regulatory expectations, and business objectives.
• Champion the digital & agile model across the organisation
Product Ownership
• Lead the product management, design, and development of:
- Cash Digitisation Roadmap (Individual & SME)
- Lead the development and roadmap of the Digital KIOSK channel
- Lead the development and roadmap of International Transfers initiatives.
- New Partnerships product development
- Product and Features roll out on cross platforms.
- Align the product dependencies both internal & external.
Customer Experience & Innovation
• Build intuitive, secure, and personalised digital journeys across platforms.
• Leverage data analytics, customer feedback, and UX best practices to enhance experience.
Technology & Delivery
• Collaborate with Engineering, Information Security, and DevOps to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing digital platforms.
Drive agile delivery frameworks and manage digital product backlogs.
Performance & P&L
• Own KPIs related to digital transactions and optimisation of Cash IN & Cash Out cost.
• Ensure product adoption across the customer segments.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
• Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and SBP regulators to ensure secure and compliant platforms.
• Build strategic alliances with fintech’s, telcos, Banks and technology providers.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
• Experience: 10+ years in digital banking, fintech, or digital product leadership; minimum 5 years in a senior/executive role.
• Education: Bachelor’s in computer science, Business, or related field; MBA or master’s preferred.
• Expertise in: Digital Product Development, Digital channels, UX/UI, Agile delivery, Open APIs, emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud, open banking)
• Proven track record of launching and scaling digital products in banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of SBP digital banking regulations, cybersecurity, and regional customer behavior.
