Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join the Jonas Corporate Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and will work closely with the existing team on various aspects of the month end close (including intercompany) and consolidation process.

Responsibilities
As a key member of our Finance team, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and supporting continuous process improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
Month-End Closing & General Accounting:
Support month-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
Record daily financial transactions and complete postings in Microsoft Dynamics GP/Dynamics 365 F&O.
Prepare and post journal entries, including shared expense allocations.
Collaborate with corporate transactional teams to resolve accounting issues.
Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules.
Sales Tax Compliance for Corporate entities:
Prepare and file Canadian and US sales and use tax returns across multiple provinces and states (monthly/quarterly/annual).
Reconcile sales tax liability accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting.
Monitor tax laws, rate changes, and regulatory updates to maintain compliance.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Administration:
Support the administration of the General Ledger module, including the global Chart of Accounts, financial dimensions, posting profiles, intercompany setups and related master data.
Provide end-user support for GL functionality and assist with system troubleshooting.
Perform system related tasks such as updating FX rate tables and running FX revaluations.
Compliance & Audit Support:
Respond to internal and external information requests, including head office inquiries, government surveys and tax submissions.
Support internal, external and statutory audit activities by providing documentation and analysis.
Process Improvement & Projects:
Contribute to special projects aimed at improving processes, operational efficiency, and automation.
Develop or enhance standard and ad-hoc reports and analytical tools to streamline finance operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting
Knowledge of multi-currency transactions
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, using excel vlookup and pivot tables in data analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics F&O an asset
