
About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Management: Uphold and enhance the Six Senses brand by ensuring all marketing communications align with the brand's identity and values.
- Marketing Strategy: Assist DOM to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies across digital, print, and social media platforms to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and bookings.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging content for all marketing channels, including press releases, brochures, newsletters, social media, and the website. This includes copy writing as well as production of marketing assets.
- Social Media Management: Lead the resort’s social media strategy, including content creation, community management, and influencer collaborations to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Public Relations: Manage PR activities and external PR agencies, including media relations, press visits, press releases, and collaborations with travel and lifestyle influencers, to generate positive coverage for the resort. Serve as a spokesperson for the media and provide timely and accurate responses when queried.
- Media Visits: Manage media and influencer visit calendar, coordinate logistics and itineraries with operational departments, conduct site inspections and host media during their stay providing a personalized experience that highlights Six Senses Laamu’s unique offerings.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Budget Management: Be aware of the marketing budget, ensuring all activities are within budget and deliver valuable outcomes.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement communication strategies to manage and mitigate any potential crises that could impact the resort’s reputation.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the luxury hospitality or travel industry. Experience in resort or island destinations is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to create and execute successful marketing campaigns.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English language.
- Understanding of digital marketing, including SEM and social media marketing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with luxury market trends and the tourism sector.
- Proficient in marketing tools and software, including analytics, graphic design and video editing tools.
- Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
