Position Summary:
This position is accountable for DS&S Engineering scope in Asia exclude Korea region. DS&S is the business that offers Specialty Gas Delivery Equipment/Specialty Chemical Delivery Equipment/Turnkey Installation of Gas/Chemical systems and Poly Flow products. Individual is expected to have technical design capability in order to be able to develop products for end customers.
- We are looking for a dynamic, versatile Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for new tool design and introduction (LDS; Liquid Delivery System). This process includes equipment hardware design, P&ID diagram, 2D drawing and 3D CAD modeling skill, project management, specification development, vendor selection, procurement, validation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
- With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors, you must be able to interact with staff in all functions to meet custome requirement, enhance tool performance and improve quality.
- We expect that you’ll collaborate, share and work as a team that partners closely with all stakeholders.
Your Role:
- Use CAD tools to design equipment, sheet-metal, and submodule.
- Design/Review the P&ID diagram.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Maintenance and Reliability (DfMR), HAZOP, Risk assessment and FMEA to build a best-in-class equipment for DS&S.
- Use a variety of inputs to develop a coherent specification document that clearly defines all aspects of the project.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders including, Commerical, Project, Service, Product, Quality, Controls Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operation Planning personnel in the entire process development to commissioning and qualification.
- Develop and manage project plans to complete within schedule, budget and quality constraints.
- Assist with Manufacturing/Production Engineering responsibilities if the business dictates. This would include troubleshooting, failure analysis, Quality and Yield improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to teammates to complete all assigned task.
Who You Are:
- Minimum Bachelor‘s Degree is required with background of Mechanical engineering perferred, but related experience in lieu of education may also be considered.
- 5+ years of working experience in the engineering field in production environment.
- Experience in technical mechanical drawing and use of CAD tools.
- Review P&ID diagram. (capable of P&ID design is plus)
- Experience in Project management, mechanical design and development.
- Knowledge of PDCA, Risk analysis, FMEA, DFM, DfMR, HAZOP, DMAIC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft application for writing technical report and documentation of procedures, change control and technical specification.
- Ability to provide guidance and support to teammates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
- Positive mindset with creativity, good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
- Preferably able to start work with short notice.
