Food Services Assistant – Relief Coordinator/Catering Assistant

Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, working a variety of shifts with starts time ranging from 0530/630 and 1430.     About the Role   Dual role reporting to the Catering Manager, you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:     Your skills and Experience     Relief Coordinator 

• Coordinating meal plating and meal delivery service 
• Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or tasks to maintain service standards 
• Assist with induction and orientation of new or casual staff
• Ensure staff follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols

Catering Assistant 

• Exceptional customer service
• Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
• Setting up and plating 
• Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards
• Dishwashing
• Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads
• Be reliable, motivated and have a friendly nature
• Allergy control awareness
• Experience within the healthcare industry desirable.

  Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate of $28.71 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.      What’s in it for you?
