Shipping/Receiving Coordinator - Vegas

Job Description

• Assign associates to ensure a smooth work flow of processing all inbound trailers and proper storage of product
• Assist in training of new full time and temporary associates in the receiving department
• Accurately process all paperwork such as open/close PO’s, and over/short reports
• Oversee the daily processes of accurately unloading, key-in, and putaway
• Ensure all damaged product is processed daily
• Ensure all incomplete store tasks are properly completed daily
• Assist in the putaway of product identified from returns and customer order cancellations
• Assist in the cross training of associates to maintain an efficient workforce by training in correct receiving, putaway, and rewarehouse functions
• Ensure all mechanical problems are reported to maintenance for repair
• Assist the Warehouse Manager and Coach to plan, develop, and refine programs to meet or exceed receiving objectives
• Requires judgment in such areas as company policies, manpower requirements, safety enforcement, warehouse goals and forecasts
• Requires a proactive attitude toward analyzing and detecting problems and working toward their ultimate solution
• Assist in defining new processes and inforce MOS Philosophy on a daily basis
• Participate in events related to 5S, Kaizen and Lean 101and promote their principles
• Ensure all facility safety rules and regulations are followed and all violations are reported immediately
• Be an active member of the DC Safety Committee
• Participate in the facility Safety and Quality audit programs
• Promote good housekeeping of the facility

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and one to two years related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers, and operations
• Ability to prioritize and achieve objectives in a fast paced environment.
• High degree of credibility
• Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities and multi-tasking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office functions such as word, excel and outlook
• Ability to function in WMS such as RIMS and SAP
• Demonstrate the understanding of RDT terminals and handheld equipment 
• Ability to influence others to perform  their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to problem solve
• Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $49,940 USD - $57,200 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
